The Poured Project is a Knottingley-based, family-run studio that specialises in handcrafted recycled concrete products from their workshop in the heart of West Yorkshire. With the launch of a new product, a recycled concrete radiator with smart controls, the business reached out to Green Economy to help raise awareness of their new offering.
As a small family business, founders Claire and Andy Pedley spoke with Green Economy to explore opportunities to increase brand awareness and access new markets. Working with one of our specialist Green Technologies consultants, research was done into potential new markets such as luxury hotels, spas and architectural firms.
The Poured Project were invited to exhibit at several Green Economy networking events across West Yorkshire, including a stand at Reset Connect - a large sustainability conference in Leeds. The business’ products proved popular with audiences at events, generating a network of advocates who championed the business throughout the region.
Green Economy’s support has opened doors we may not have found on our own. Their expertise and research gave us clarity on where to focus, and the networking opportunities put us in front of the right people.
We’d recommend that any sustainable business get in touch with Green Economy to see how they can help you grow.
The Poured Project were also introduced to fellow Green Economy clients Potes Smart Homes, and the pair launched a partnership to integrate Potes’ smart heating controls into the Poured Project radiators.
By integrating the controls, the business has not only enhanced their product offering but also shored up supply chain vulnerability. In a sector where supply chains can prove unreliable, the partnership served to strengthen the position of both businesses and improve ongoing resilience.
Through their work with Green Economy, the Poured Project have explored new markets and developed their offering in line with sector expectations. Leveraging the networking, exhibiting and event opportunities, the business has raised their profile, developed strong partnerships and built a more resilient business.
They have engaged with multiple global companies in the retail, financial services and heritage sectors to explore supplying to commercial spaces across Europe – we can’t wait to see what’s next for Claire, Andy and the rest of the business.
