Solar Installer Accelerator

The Solar Installer Accelerator is a free solar PV and battery installation training course designed to accelerate local businesses in West Yorkshire to Level 3 in solar and battery installations.

Our unique programme, developed in partnership with MCS Certified and local partners, provides qualified electricians with the skills and knowledge to achieve industry certifications and run a thriving solar installation business.

Solar power installation training

Course contents and eligibility requirements

The programme provides:

  • EAL Level 3 Qualification in Solar PV and Battery
  • Business growth advice from Green Economy consultants
  • Access to industry experts, including help securing your first installation project

The course is open to any business or sole traders meeting the following requirements:

  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671) 18th Edition & Level 3 Qualification in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations. Gold card, NVQ 3 in electrical installation or historical craft qualifications listed on the EAS.
  • Not currently operating in the domestic solar PV market.
  • Available and committed to attend the full 5-day course
  • Willing to complete all required paperwork including initial registration and final evaluation.
